Welcoming New Adventures

During the early months of 2020, I spent a great deal of time watching fandom edits. I primarily entertained myself with those of the Harry Potter fandom. But, anyway, I ended up coming across several edits that, honestly, kind of changed my life.

Though despair was rampant during that year--and it hasn't yet seemed to let up even five years later--my aim during that tumultuous time was to hold on to hope. My aim was to believe in a good future. And this video was one of the things that made that goal easier. This video was one of the things that made it easier to believe.

We're entering into a new year, you and I. And none of us know exactly what is in store. But I hope this video helps you believe in God's promises as much as it did for me back then.

    Welcome, 2025.

    We're ready for you.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

"'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says the LORD, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Jeremiah 29:11

  1. oh my, this was beautiful. it is so hard to keep going when challenges come one after the other. and it is hard to see God's plan. I'm glad that you found joy in stories. they are a source of hope and joy for me too.

that video was so moving. I love that song, and I love her cover of it! also - that is my favorite bible verse. it has gotten me through so much.

    1. Thank you!

I thought of you when I shared the verse, since you have it up on your blog. The verse is actually the inspiration behind my online Pseudonym, "The Hopeful Pen". So it's very special for me, as well!

I'm praying that also! I'll pray the same for you, friend! <3 Happy 2025!
