Chasing Sunbeams: A Summer Blog Tag

Hello, world!

I've changed my blog theme again! Let's see if this one sticks, lol!

In any case, Eva from birds, sky, and stars has tagged me for the Chasing Sunbeams Summer blog Tag! Thank you, Eva!

Here are the rules:
1. Acknowledge who tagged you!
2. Answer the questions!
3. Tag friends!
4. Have fun!

Alright! Let's get to the questions!

1. What's a book you read with summer vibes?

100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons. It was the perfect summer read!

2. If you could travel anywhere this summer, where would you go?
I've heard of people who follow their favorite band from city to city while the band is on tour. You get to see the show multiple times and explore the cities the band stops at when you're not at the concert venue. I would love to do that with Stray Kids while they're on their world tour. Now that they're on the European leg, if I did that I'd get to explore Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris, and Rome. It just sounds like so much fun, so, yeah, that's where I'd like to go! Following a favorite band on tour!

3. What's a poem or quote that reminds you of summer?
Hmm. I don't think I have one, so I'll just share some lyrics from a song I've been loving so far this summer:

"If you're ever feeling like you're lost, I'll come find you
man all fronts, there's no ocean I won't swim across to be right by you
and not just once, here and now I swear on my response I'll remind you
and love you as one does I, I will protect you at all costs"

4. Describe your favorite summer memory.
One favorite memory I have is that, as a teen, I would spend my evenings writing stories. Dusk would be falling outside and I'd be at our dining room table, scribbling away. I did this all year long, not just in the summer, but I remember the vibes for summer evening writing being really great.

5. Your ideal summer is filled with _______, _________, and _________.
Writing, blogging, and Stray Kids!

6. What is your favorite summer food?
Ice cream! Though, I eat this all year round, actually, ahaha!

7. Favorite summer activities?
Umm... Maybe... reading? But then, I do that all rear round too... *clears throat* anywho!

8. How do you usually celebrate 4th of July?
Normally my family and I will have burgers and hot dogs, the classic American meal. And we'll see fireworks from our windows as we have neighbors who do them and events near us where they're being set off as well.

9. What's a song that reminds you of summer?
There's quite a few, but to choose just one, I'll say "Sailboats" by Sky Sailing (aka Adam Young). I believe I found this song and the rest of the album during the summer of 2020. The whole project just has a dreamy, soft summer feel to it. Like gentle blue skies, feather-light, puffy clouds, vanilla ice cream in cones, warm days with one or two close friends, and life in your early twenties as you try and decide who you want to be in this world.

10. What are you most excited for this summer?
Blogging! There are several more posts I want to get to before we head into the fall!

Well, that's the end of the tag! Thanks again, Eva!

Now for tagging people... I tag:

Mackenzie from Mackenzie K. Writes
and Nicole Dust from Legend of a Writer (i don't know if you're still blogging, Nicole, but if you aren't anymore feel free to ignore this :)

And if you're reading this post and haven't been tagged yet for Chasing Sunbeams, definitely give the questions a go over on your own blog!

Thanks so much for reading!

Go be epic!

  1. ohhh the evening writing memory has such a vibe!! It sounds so nostalgic and peaceful
I'd love to follow a band/artist on tour too, but sadly, time and money exist. :P
I hope you get to do that, though! A Europe tour seems amazing, especially since they're going through all the capital cities.
The photos you chose for this post all have that dreamy summer sunshine, it's so nice!
    lovely post!

    1. Yeah, it was pretty great!
100%, lol! I was answering the question as though I had unlimited amounts of both, haha! It's a pipe dream, definitely, but who knows, maybe I'll make a million dollars down the road and then do it! XD But I also think I might get tired of seeing the concert that many times, so maybe if I ever get the chance, I'd just do 2 or 3 cities. I guess I'll see what happens if the opportunity is ever presented to me! XD
Thank you! And thanks again for tagging me!
